Soup Angel Annual Report Founding Year
Welcome to Our Founding Year
Soup Angels was created with one simple belief: a warm bowl of soup and a moment of kindness can change someone’s day. In our first year, we laid the foundation for a mission rooted in nourishment, dignity, and community connection. This report shares our story, our programs, and our vision for the year ahead.
Our Mission
Soup Angels prepares and distributes nutritious soups, Blessing Baskets, and outreach meals to neighbors experiencing food insecurity in Dallas. We are committed to providing nourishment with dignity, building community through compassion, and showing up consistently for those who need support.
Who We Serve
We serve individuals and families across Dallas who face food insecurity, limited transportation, or barriers to traditional food assistance. Our outreach focuses on:
-
Pleasant Grove
-
Fair Park
-
East Dallas
-
Downtown Dallas
-
White Rock
We support unhoused neighbors, seniors, families, and anyone experiencing hardship.
Our Programs
Weekly Soup Outreach
We prepare fresh, ready‑to‑eat soups using wholesome ingredients. Meals are packaged individually and delivered directly to neighbors through our weekly outreach routes.
Blessing Baskets
Seasonal Blessing Baskets include shelf‑stable foods, hygiene items, and small wellness essentials. These baskets are distributed during holidays and community outreach events.
Soup Drives
Supporters host Soup Drives to collect ingredients, packaging materials, or Blessing Basket items. We provide instructions and templates to ensure consistency, safety, and dignity.
Community Education
We share simple recipes, wellness information, and food safety guidance through printed cards, social media, and community events.
