👩🍳 Instructions
Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, ground hazelnuts, baking powder, and salt.
Cream Butter & Sugar: Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy (3–4 minutes).
Add Eggs & Vanilla: Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
Combine: Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to butter mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
Bake: Divide batter between pans. Bake 25–30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool: Let cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes, then turn out onto wire racks to cool completely.
Make Frosting: Beat butter until creamy, add hazelnut spread, then gradually add powdered sugar. Add cream until spreadable consistency.
Assemble: Place one cake layer on serving plate, spread frosting on top, add second layer, frost top and sides. Garnish with chopped hazelnuts.
